Celebrated Inspiration of Michelle’s Angels,
Michelle (Makar) Knoll escorted by grace
into the arms of her loving savior Jesus Christ
Michelle Renee Knoll of San Antonio, Texas (formerly of Youngstown, OH; East Greenbush, NY; Longwood, FL and Brentwood, TN) was granted grace on March 7, 2008 when called by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ following her courageous and lengthy battle against cancer. Born December 23, 1955, the Youngstown, Ohio native was a 1973 graduate of Youngstown’s Chaney High School, attended Youngstown State University and received her certification as a Dental Assistant from Choffin Career Center. In 1992, Michelle became the cherished bride of Herbert E. Knoll, Jr. of Tonawanda, New York. Besides her husband, Michelle is survived by her son Jacques M. Everly, step-daughters Jessica R. Birkholz (Warrensburg, NY) and Lauren C. Knoll (Mansfield, CT); two grand-children and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. The daughter of Sandra Conley (Rootstown, OH) and Charles Makar (Zeblon, NC, who preceded her in death), Michelle had three siblings, Michael Makar, (Zebulon, NC) and Marcia Locketti and Monica Makar (both of Canfield, OH).
The 1999 Endorsed Republican candidate for the E. Greenbush NY Town Council, Michelle served as a Vice President of the New York State Dental Assistant Association, as a volunteer for the Franklin, Tennessee Housing Authority as well as many other not-for-profit organizations. Known for her generosity, creativity and love of people, the Michelle Knoll story served as the inspiration behind the creation of Michelle’s Angels (www.michellesangels.com), a website which continues to this day to lift the hearts of those in need. Michelle’s trials where further memorialized in the 2005 recording of Michelle’s Angels by Nashville singer-song writer Ken Harrell, a musical tribute and testament to Michelle’s deep Christian faith and the trust she placed in God.
An avid animal lover, Michelle raised AKC Golden Retrievers with placements across America. Michelle is a past member of the Mahoning United Methodist Church of Youngstown OH and the Franklin Christian Church of Franklin, TN. Services will be held Saturday, March 29th at 10AM at the Franklin Christian Church and will be broadcast over the internet. See www.michellesangels.com home page for details. Memorials should be directed to Michelle’s Angels c/o Bruce Zgoda, CPA, 4848 Smiley Terrace, Clarence, NY 14031.
