Feb 10, 2010 update from Judy
Friends and family - I saw my oncologist who had the results of Monday's CT scan. Here's what I wrote to St. Hildegard's.
Dear Community
First thing the doctor said was, "Your scan looks great."
The tumor has shrunk significantly and to an unusual extent and what is left may only be scar tissue from the radiation. Time will tell.
No more lymph node enlargement. (Previously enlarged nodes under my sternum had been biopsied and had cancer.)
He said, "You responded very well to the treatment." I tried to reserve some credit for my Chinese acupuncturist and herbalist.
How can I account for or understand any of this? I cannot.

PS I still have inflammation in my left lung from radiation burn and will have to keep an eye on it and get treatment if it gets worse or doesn't got away. Potentially serious.
PPS I had a great weekend in Mexico. It was healing.
