Winship of Pendleton, New York is married with three adult children, two residing in New York State and one in Japan.

Winship holds a degree from General Motors Institute, now Kettering University and an MBA from Canisus College.  He is retired after 42 years of service with General Motors Corporation.  He received an award from General Motors for Community Service.  He is currently Treasurer of Fairwinds Cove Recreation Association, Inc. and has also served as President, Vice-President and Secretary of that organization.

Michelle Renee Knoll, the Foundation namesake was Winship’s sister-in-law and he considered her one of the most caring and generous people he has known.  He feels it is an honor to serve in support of activities which were so important to her.
